Help Us Build a Permanent Home for Our School
Manju Shree Primary School, Jumla, Western Himalayan Region, Nepal
Respected and Compassionate Supporters,
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to every individual and organization dedicated to serving society and supporting underprivileged children with generosity and compassion. On behalf of Manju Shree Primary School, located in the remote Himalayan region of Jumla, western Nepal, we sincerely thank you for your kindness and consideration.
Introduction & Current Situation
Manju Shree Primary School was established to provide quality education to children living in a remote Himalayan region where educational opportunities are extremely limited. Our goal isn't just academic knowledge. We also want to nurture children with good moral values, compassion, discipline, and responsibility, so they can grow into capable, caring members of society.
The school has been running for more than two years and currently teaches up to Grade Three, with Grades Four and Five planned next. We now have 100 students, and that number keeps growing as more families see the value of education. Despite this progress, we still don't have our own classrooms or an assembly hall, and have to operate out of rented buildings, which makes teaching harder. Even so, our teachers and students keep at it.
Our Vision
Our vision is to give every child access to quality education while developing academic excellence, strong moral character, cultural awareness, environmental responsibility, and compassion. We hope to become a school where children receive not only knowledge but also the values and life skills needed to build a meaningful future. Constructing permanent classrooms and a multipurpose hall has become one of our most urgent priorities, and with the support of compassionate donors, we believe the school can continue to grow and serve many more children.
Our Educational Philosophy
At Manju Shree Primary School, education isn't limited to textbooks. We want children to grow as whole people, developing knowledge, character, culture, and compassion together.
Cultural & Language Education
We encourage students to learn and appreciate their own language, history, traditions, music, and cultural heritage. This builds confidence, identity, and pride, while still respecting other cultures.
Environmental Education
Students learn to keep their surroundings clean, conserve water, reduce waste, and care for animals and plants. This helps them grow into responsible citizens who live in harmony with nature.
Respect for Parents & Family
We teach children to understand the love, sacrifice, and hard work of their parents, developing gratitude, respect, responsibility, and good character.
Our Objectives
- 1
Provide equal educational opportunities for every child.
- 2
Ensure that children from poor and disadvantaged families can continue their education without interruption.
- 3
Instill good morals, compassion, discipline, and ethical values.
- 4
Preserve and promote local language, culture, and traditions.
- 5
Foster love, respect, and responsibility toward the natural environment.
- 6
Teach children to appreciate and respect the love and sacrifices of their parents.
- 7
Equip students with practical knowledge, confidence, and life skills so they can contribute positively to society.
- 8
Provide quality education locally so families who cannot afford to send children to cities in Nepal or abroad can still receive an excellent education within their own community.
Why Your Support Is Needed
Many children in our region come from poor families and cannot afford quality education. Without educational opportunities, their future becomes increasingly difficult, limiting their ability to improve their lives and contribute to society.
Education empowers children with knowledge, confidence, and hope. It helps preserve culture and language, promotes respect for the environment, and nurtures gratitude, compassion, and responsible citizenship. Achieving these goals requires adequate classrooms, learning facilities, educational materials, and financial support.
Your generous contribution will directly help provide a safe learning environment and brighter opportunities for children living in one of Nepal's most remote Himalayan communities.
Every Contribution Brings Hope
We sincerely request your kind support in helping us build a better future for these children. Every contribution, whether large or small, brings hope and creates lasting change in their lives. On behalf of the teachers, students, parents, and the entire Manju Shree Primary School community, we express our deepest gratitude for your kindness, generosity, and compassion.
With sincere respect and appreciation,
Manju Shree Primary School
